Smith Set for 450SX Debut as Swoll Opens 250SX East in Arlington

Triumph Factory Racing heads into Round 7 of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship in Arlington, Texas, with a major milestone on deck as Jordon Smith prepares to make his long-awaited 450SX debut. Joining him at AT&T Stadium is Jalek Swoll, who kicks off his 250SX East campaign.

After undergoing off-season shoulder surgery, Smith is now fully recovered and ready to step into the premier class for the first time in his career. The multi-time 250SX Main Event winner has spent recent weeks putting in extensive laps at Triumph’s Georgia training facility, building comfort and confidence aboard the TF 450-X.

The move to the 450 division marks a significant step in Smith’s career, as he transitions to longer Main Events and the increased intensity of the sport’s top category.

“It feels great to finally make my 450 debut,” Smith said. “It’s something I’ve worked toward my entire career. Recovery has gone smoothly and getting back on the bike ahead of schedule was a big boost. The goal is to keep learning, be smart, and put myself in the fight as I adapt to the class. The TF 450-X has been great from day one — it fits my style and the power has been a big plus. It’s a stacked field, but I’m excited to keep building each weekend.”

On the 250 side, Jalek Swoll returns for his third season with Triumph Factory Racing and will line up for the opening round of the 250SX East Championship. After injuries disrupted much of his 2025 campaign, the Floridian enters the new season motivated and focused on delivering results.

“I feel like I’m getting back to where I was before the injury,” Swoll explained. “We’ve made some key changes with the bike and the team has done a great job getting everything dialed in. The East Coast is deep this year, so it’s going to be competitive, but I’m excited to get back out there. The goal is to consistently fight for podiums and chase that first win.”

Triumph Racing America General Manager Jeremy Coker expressed confidence in both riders ahead of the Arlington round.

“Jordon has worked hard to come back from surgery and has looked strong in testing. While he’s ready to prove himself, we’ll approach the 450 class week by week as he settles in. It’s also exciting to have Jalek starting his 250SX East season — he’s motivated and has put in the work. Both riders are looking sharp heading into Arlington.”

With Smith stepping into the premier class and Swoll opening his 250SX East campaign, Arlington marks an important weekend for Triumph Factory Racing as the 2026 season continues to build momentum.
