Husqvarna Factory Racing has secured its future in the FIM Motocross World Championship with new multi-year agreements for both team operator Nestaan and reigning MX2 World Champion Kay de Wolf. The extensions cement one of the most successful partnerships in modern motocross following a dominant 2024 season.
The renewed agreements build on a relationship that has delivered sustained success at the highest level of the sport. In 2024, Husqvarna Factory Racing claimed both the MX2 Riders’ and Manufacturers’ World Championships, won 16 of 20 Grands Prix, and secured first and second in the final MX2 standings.
De Wolf‘s journey with Husqvarna began eight years ago when he joined the programme as a 13-year-old prospect. The Dutchman has since developed into one of motocross’s leading riders, culminating in his outstanding 2024 world championship title. His new multi-year deal continues a partnership built on loyalty and long-term development.
Nestaan’s involvement with Husqvarna dates back to the manufacturer’s return to the FIM Motocross World Championship. After initially supporting the factory effort, the Dutch company assumed full operational responsibility for the official Husqvarna Factory Racing team in 2020 and has since established one of the benchmark organisations in the paddock.
The team enters the next chapter with a settled rider line-up. Alongside de Wolf in MXGP, Liam Everts continues in MX2 and remains under contract through the 2027 season, providing continuity as the team pursues further Grand Prix victories and world championship success.

It feels like family, and I couldn’t be happier to stay. Hopefully, we can achieve some special things together and continue building the story we set out to create from the very beginning.”

Team Manager Rasmus Jorgensen emphasised the significance of the agreements: “To continue writing this story means a lot to me and the entire Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing Team. We have built something extremely solid over the past seven seasons. Securing Kay for multiple years with the brand and team he has trusted in since the beginning was an important milestone.”
With Nestaan, de Wolf, and Everts all committed to the programme, Husqvarna Factory Racing enters the coming seasons with championship-winning continuity and shared ambition.
