The Women’s Motocross Championship will make its postseason debut this weekend at the 2026 Monster Energy SMX World Championship Final in Ridgedale, Missouri. The inaugural WMX Invitational Powered by Synchrony will showcase 13 of the world’s top female racers competing on the hybrid track at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena.
Following the most successful and most watched season in WMX history, the invitational field features champions from four countries and represents the sport’s biggest stage for women’s motocross to date.
“A memorable season filled with milestones will now culminate with the WMX’s postseason debut,” said Christina Denney, WMX Director. “This is an incredible opportunity for our athletes and for the sport as a whole to watch the best in women’s motocross compete on SMX’s biggest stage.”
Three-time and reigning WMX Champion Lachlan “Lala” Turner headlines the invitational field aboard her Altus Motorsports bLUcRU Yamaha. The Australian’s banner year included capturing a third consecutive WMX crown, the Australian ProMX MXW Championship, and making her FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship debut. Turner will carry the #99 plate as she looks to bookend the season with victory.

Her chief rival Charli Cannon, a multi-time Australian champion and back-to-back WMX runner-up, enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with her first victories on American soil. The Quad Lock Honda rider enters the invitational seeking a memorable finishing touch to her best season yet.
International star power arrives courtesy of Lotte van Drunen of the Netherlands, a two-time FIM WMX Champion in MXGP who contested a pair of WMX rounds this summer. Van Drunen will join Gizmo Racing Yamaha for the invitational. Also on the line is newly crowned Canadian WMX National Champion Jamie Astudillo, who captured her first national title last month and will compete with Priority MX GASGAS.
Mikayla Nielsen of SLR Honda, who finished third in the WMX Championship for the second consecutive season, will be a strong contender. Jordan Jarvis brings the most experience to the field aboard her Dusty Rocks Yamaha, whilst Mayla Herrick represents the sport’s future after earning the Women’s AMA National Championship at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch just over a month ago before a historic moto victory in her professional debut.

The WMX Invitational consists of a single 10 Minute + 1 Lap Main Event on Saturday, taking place between the first and second motos of the 250SMX and 450SMX classes. The race will be broadcast live on Peacock as part of comprehensive coverage beginning at 1 p.m. ET with Race Day Live, followed by a Pre-Race Show at 6:30 p.m. ET and Gate Drop at 7 p.m. ET.
