The American Motorcyclist Association has confirmed the three riders who will represent the United States at the 2026 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations in Ernée, France, on 2-4 October. Chance Hymas, Levi Kitchen, and Cooper Webb will carry the Stars and Stripes as Team USA seeks to dethrone Australia, winners of the past two editions.
The announcement was made on Friday at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana, ahead of the Pro Motocross Championship finale. Mike Pelletier, AMA Director of Racing, returns as team manager after leading the Americans to second place at the 2025 MXoN held at the same venue.
“We have put together an outstanding team for this year’s FIM Motocross of Nations as we look to build on last year’s success,” Pelletier said. “Having the opportunity to serve as the manager for Team USA has been incredibly rewarding, and I can’t wait to stand beside Cooper, Levi and Chance as we take on the world.”
Honda HRC Progressive’s Chance Hymas will compete in the MXGP class in what will be his maiden MXoN appearance after injury prevented his debut in 2024. The 21-year-old has captured three 250SMX Class victories in Pro Motocross this season, including a win at Budds Creek last weekend, and also has an Eastern Divisional 250SMX Class victory to his credit.
“I’m beyond excited to get the opportunity to race for Team USA in the MXGP class,” Hymas said. “It means everything to me and has been a dream of mine to carry the Stars and Stripes overseas and represent our country in front of the world.”
Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Levi Kitchen will make his MXoN debut in the MX2 class. The rising star has finished runner-up in the Western Divisional 250SMX Class for the past two Supercross seasons and enters this weekend’s Ironman finale with a chance to claim the Pro Motocross 250SMX Class Championship.
“What an honour it is to be selected to represent our amazing country,” Kitchen said. “I’m so excited for this experience and to do it with a great group of people.”
Three-time Monster Energy AMA Supercross 450SX Champion Cooper Webb will contest the Open class and serve as team captain. This marks Webb’s fourth MXoN appearance, having previously competed in 2015, 2016, and 2024, reaching the podium on all three occasions.
“I’m so excited and grateful to be on Team USA for MXoN again. It’s an honour and always has been,” Webb said. “I’m personally excited as this will be my last year racing Pro Motocross and I know this could be my final time for this event, so I’m ready to lay it all out there. Best race in the world, and I’m excited to put our best foot forward.”
The 2026 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations will take place at the famed Circuit Raymond Demy in Ernée, France, bringing together the world’s best riders to compete for national glory in motocross’s most prestigious team event.
